I recieved an old (win 95 era) program I have wanted for a long time recently. it won't install, and acts like there was a problem when the person copied the disk for me.
So, I thought I would use the universal extractor to get the list of files that were supposed to be installed out of whichever IS file they are in.
UE says that none of the setup files are valid win32PE files.
So, I am betting the setup files are prolly 16 bit. How do I make them give it up????
thanks in advance,
-Shawn
Re: help with OOOLLLD Installshield decompiler
Unfortunately, I can't offer much advice without being able to test the files myself. Is there any way that I can download the files to test them?

Do you have an email address I could talk to you further about it?

Yes. Check the footer of this website. It's also included in the propertied of UniExtract.exe and at the top of English.ini.

Re: help with OOOLLLD Installshield decompiler
I don't think I've actually looked at this yet. Hate to say it, but UniExtract's been on the back burner lately (again). Thanks for the reminder, though. I'll try to look into it over the weekend.
