Universal Extractor 1.6 & Windows 9x
Will v.1.6 support Windows 9x? Current Beta does not and it's very bad for me because i am using Windows 98SE. Please add support for 9x in final release. Thanks!

They extract fine if you go through the gui so you would only need to add context menu items for these. The simplest enhancement in the world probably! :-) Keep up the good work.
I have tried to open files that are password protected and I can't find a way (or figure out how) to type in the password it is requested. Is there a trick to do this that a novice user may not figure out? I try typing the password by nothing appears. What is up?
universalextractor is unpacking all kinds of inno installer.exe or wise installer.exe very good.
but if i extract a wise installer.exe, i also want to pack it the same way again into a wise installer.exe...After I modified the unpacked files.
How can i do that?
If I drag a file with rightclick to somewhere, e. g. in Explorer or FreeCmmander, a context menu appears. Is there a way to include the UniExtract context menu elements that appear when rightclicking a file? I like to extract files that way without filedialogs that make me ill. Or is there such a menu and i am dumb? :-)
Hi there,
First of all, I REALLY love the tool!
Just a minute ago, I found a few websites with a bunch of unpackers:
- http://www.absolutelock.de/construction/releases.html
- http://www.sac.sk/files.php?d=7&l=
- http://www.exetools.com/unpackers.htm
In addition, I have a feature request:
Sometimes when multiple extractors are available, the first one fails while the second or a subsequent one succeeds.
Why not automatically try another extractor when the first one fails?
Regards,
Zarco
Hello!
I've posted 2 messages marked as "spam- to be reviewed by administrator". Would they really get a review or are they sent straight to trash?

Hello!
I've just discovered UniversalExtractor- it's unbelievably useful tool! Big Thanks :)
1. Would it be possible to create an option for shell integration/de-integration in the program itself, not using installer?
2. Would it be possible to add shell options in a submenu?
and now archive questions:
3. Could you consider adding support for disk images in the following formats: NRG (Nero), C2D (Roxio), MDF (Alcohol)
4. Could you consider adding support for Amiga/C64 related formats/archives (like ADF, DMS, C64 disk images or LZX, PowerPacker archives).
X.
I've gotten antsy while waiting for UE 1.6, so I've produced my own. (Sources and installer binary available upon request. I'd love to link here, but I don't have anything like reasonable file storage with bandwidth, and I don't want to get hit with bandwidth overage charges.)
Changelog:
1.6 (06/14/2007):
Recompiled UniExtract.au3 with AutoIt v3.2.4.9, packed with UPX 3.00 using --ultra-brute
Changed URL in UniExtract.au3 to point to MSXML6.0SP1 (MSXML4 is strongly deprecated)
Updated 7-Zip engine to 4.47 beta
Updated PeaZip engine to 1.8
Updated TrID defs to 06/07/2007
Updated RAR engine to 3.70
Updated UPX engine to 3.00
Updated InnoUNP engine to 0.19
Removed Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese translations due to lack of source
